Inkfold Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Inkfold (“the app”), described at the Inkfold homepage. By installing or using Inkfold, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Inkfold is a note-taking app for Android. It works fully offline; signing in to Google Drive to sync your documents is optional. How Inkfold handles your data, including any Google user data, is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
License
Inkfold is open source; the source code and its license are available at https://github.com/Pingue/inkfold. Subject to that license and these Terms, you’re granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app for its intended purpose.
Your content
You retain all rights to the notes, drawings, and documents you create in Inkfold. The app claims no ownership over your content. If you enable Google Drive sync, that content is written to a Drive folder in your own Google account, as described in the Privacy Policy — it remains yours.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Inkfold to store or distribute unlawful content, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or gain unauthorised access to any service Inkfold connects to (including the Google Drive API).
No warranty
Inkfold is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. As a free, independently maintained app, Inkfold does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free syncing, or that data will never be lost — back up anything important via export (PDF/JPG) or your own Drive backups.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Inkfold is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including loss of data.
Third-party services
Google Drive sync is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s own terms of service, separate from these Terms. Inkfold is not responsible for the availability or behaviour of the Google Drive API.
Termination
You may stop using Inkfold at any time by uninstalling it and, if signed in, revoking its access from your Google Account permissions. The developer may discontinue or change the app at any time; open-source availability of the code is unaffected by this.
Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, the effective date above will be updated and the new version published at this same URL. Continued use of Inkfold after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
